Pawel Przytocki, Krakau

Pawel Przytocki, geboren 1958, absolvierte sein Dirigierstudium in der Klasse von Prof. Jerzy Katlewicz an der Musikakademie in Krakau im Jahre 1985 mit Auszeichnung. Weitere Studien bei Peter Eötvös und Helmuth Rilling. Von 1980 bis 1983 arbeitete er mit der Staatsoper in Krakau zusammen, von 1983 bis 1986 mit der Krakauer Philharmonie und von 1987 bis 1988 mit der Staatsoper in Lodz. Von 1988 bis 1991 war er Chefdirigent der Baltischen Philharmoie in Danzig. 1990 trat er erstmals mit der Nationalphilharmonie in Warschau auf und 1992 konzertierte er zum ersten Mal im Nationalen Theater in Warschau. Pawel Przytocki konzertierte mit philharmonischen Orchestern in ganz Polen (Krakau, Warschau, Danzig, Posen, Breslau, Oppeln, Katowitz, Bromberg und Stettin). Er dirigierte das Budapest Concert Orchestra (MAV), das Orchestra Sinfonica de Xalapa in Mexico, die Real Philharmonia de Galicia in Spanien, Cappella Istropolitana aus Bratislava, die neue Philharmonie Westfalen, das Staatsorchester Halle und das Bilkent Symphony Orchestra Ankara. 1995 nahm er die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Orchester Sinfonia Varsovia auf. Von 1995 bis 1997 war er Chefdirigent der Artur- Rubinstein- Philharmonie in Lodz. Mit polnischen Orchestern unternahm er mehrere Tourneen durch Deutschland, Belgien, Holland, Österreich, die Schweiz, Frankreich und Spanien. Er nahm an vielen europäischen Festivals teil u.a. am Athener Festival 1986, Norrtejle Festival 1988, Musikfest Stuttgart 1988, Flanders Festival 1989, Warschauer Herbst 1990, La Chaise-Dieu Festival 1996, Kissinger Sommer 1998, Bratislava Music Festival 1999, Augsburger Mozartsommer 2000, Prager Frühling 2001 und der Schubertiade auf Schloß Eyb. Pawel Przytocki spielte Aufnahmen mit dem großen symphonischen Orchester des polnischen Rundfunks in Kattowitz und mit der polnischen Rundfunk-Philharmonie ein. Seine CD´s erschienen bisher bei Aurophon und der Firma Point Classic. Seine 1991 erfolgte Aufnahme der 1. Symphonie Rachmaninoffs wurde kürzlich vom amerikanischen „Folia Music Review Magazine“ in besonderer Weise gewürdigt. Das Magazin stellte diese Aufnahme unter die 5 weltbesten Orchestereinspielungen und verglich sie mit denen Carlos Kleibers und Svjatoslav Richters.

Pawel Przytocki studied at the academy  of music in Krakow, where he graduated with honors in the faculty of conducting under professor Jerzy Katlewicz. He perfected his skills at the Bartok International Seminar with Peter Eötvös, the master conducting course within the Oregon Bach Festival in Eugene with Helmuth Rilling. From 1983 to 1987 Przytocki collaborated with Krakow Philharmonic and since 1987 with opera theatre in Lodz. From 1988 to 1991 he worked as the conductor and music director of the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra in Gdansk. In May 1990 he made his debut with the National Philharmonic in Warsaw. Since 1995 he has worked with the orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia and from 1995 to 1997 was music director of the Artur- Rubinstein- Philharmonic Orchestra in Lodz. Przytocki is a regular guest conductor with orchestras throughout Poland as well as the Budapest Concert Orchestra, Orchesta Sinfonica de Xalapa in Mexico, Real Filharmonia de Galicia in Spain, Cappella Istropolitana in Bratislava, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Halle, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra Ankara, Everett Symphony Orchestra in the United Staates. His guest performances and concert tours have led him  throughout Europe. Pawel Przytocki has participated in numerous international music festivals, including the Athens Festival 1987, Musikfest Stuttgart 1988, The Flanders Festival 1989, La Chaise- Dieu Festival 1996, Kissinger Sommer 1998, Bratislava Music Festival 1999, Prague Spring 2001 and the Schubertiade auf Schloß Eyb Dörzbach.He has made archival recordings for polish radio and CD recordings for Aurophon, Point Classic and Christoph Soldan Classics. His recording of Rachmaninoff´s 1^st symphony in 1991 has been appreciated by the american “Folia Music Review Magazine” in a very special way. The magazin put it to the five world´s best recordings and compared it to those of Carlos Kleiber and Svjatoslav Richter
